Being married is tough. Staying fit while being married is even tougher.

Like every newlywed, I thought my first year of marriage would be different. I would NOT gain those 8 – 10 lbs that EVERYONE gains, because I knew better. I knew how to live a somewhat healthy lifestyle and keep a decent, not-too-embarrassing weight. I was WRONG. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. I gained those 8 pounds just like everyone does. I have kept them on my hips, thighs, stomach, and bum, just like everyone does for the last year. And now I’m working hard to lose all this marriage fat and figure out where I went astray. It was probably somewhere in between gourmet chocolate ice cream and triple fudge brownies.

This blog is NOT about someone who has lost 100 pounds. This blog is NOT about someone who knows all the tips and tricks to staying fit. This blog is about my journey – trials and errors, failures, accomplishments, cute clothing for motivation, whatever I need to get me through the day. This blog will share new things I have found and love like exercises, apps, other blogs, or anything else I can find to help myself and YOU. I will talk in bits and pieces about my marriage and in general share a bit of my newly married life with you. And when I’m ready, and feeling more confident, I will post progress photos.
